Sunny Sunday March 18, 2012

This morning we awoke to clear sunny skies. The buildings across the Harbour in Kowloon are glistening in the early morning light. A rare occurrence in March.

We had a Dim Sum lunch at the hotel today that was great. There were so many different dumplings we hardly knew what we were eating. It was a fun experience that we would love to do again some day.

After lunch we visited the Mam Mo Temple which was built around 1842 in the SoHo district. The incense hangs in spirals from the ceiling and the smoke is so strong that you can't stay inside very long. These spirals can burn for weeks.

From there we walked down Hollywood Road, through the SoHo area and then on to the mid level escalator to the top and then back down to the Central Market which was closed. It is said that this escalator is the longest covered escalator in the world.

Tonight we will be having dinner at Fook Lam Moon.
